	Informationen zum Lied
	Laut Wikipedia wurde "A Gaelic Blessing" von John Rutter als Abschiedsgeschenk für einen befreundeten Chordirektor geschrieben. Beauftragt für die Vorführung wurde 1978 der Chor der 1st United Methodist, Omaha. Im Laufe der Jahre entwickelte sich "A Gaelic Blessing" zu einem beliebten Lied bei Taufen, Hochzeiten und Beerdigungen. Teilweise auch unter dem Namen "Deep Peace" bekannt wurde das Stück im Jahr 2003 ein Hit, als Aled Jones eine Aufnahme veröffentlichte. Die erste nachvollziehbare Aufnahme vom St. Philips Boys Choir stammt aus dem Jahr 1988 und ist auf der CD "Sing for ever" veröffentlicht.
