	Informationen zum Lied
	Der Originaltext dieses weltweit bekannten Weihnachtsliedes stammt von dem französischen Gelegeheitsdichter Placide Cappeau, der vom Pfarrer seines Ortes um ein Weihnachtsgedicht gebeten wurde. 1847 komponierte der ebenfalls französische Oper- und Ballettkomponist Adolphe Adam die Melodie zu dem Text. Heute ist besonders die englische Version "O Holy Night" weit verbreitet, die von John Sullivan Dwight übersetzt wurde.
