	Informationen zum Lied
	Unter dem Namen Schtschedryk komponierte 1904 der Ukrainer Mykola Leotowytsch ein Volkslied für einen 4-stimmigen Chor, das Grundlage für Carol of the Bells wurde. 1916 wurde das Lied zum ersten Mal vorgetragen. Peter J. Wilhousky gab dem Lied für den englischen Sprachraum einen neuen Text und es entwickelte sich zu einem der bekanntesten Weihnachtsliedern. zusätzlicher Hinweis: Auf dem 2019 erschienenen Album Christmas Carols with Libera befindet sich die Version von 2015. Trotzdem wurde im selben Jahr das Lied neu aufgenommen und im Dezember 2019 als Video veröffentlicht. Von Libera wurde Carol of the Bells erstmals 2011 veröffentlicht, auf CD und auch als Video.
