Informationen zum Lied
"From A Distance" wurde 1987 von der amerikanischen Singer-Songwriterin Julie Gold geschrieben. Nachdem mehrere Künstler das Lied abgelehnt hatten wurde es schließlich von Nanci Griffith gesungen und veröffentlicht.
Später folgten Künstler wie z.B. Bette Midler und Cliff Richard mit eigenen Versionen des Liedes.

Die Kernaussage des Liedes ist, dass vieles im Leben in Wirklichkeit anders ist als es zu sein scheint. Interpretationspotential ist darüber hinaus gegeben.
