	Informationen zum Lied
	"Nunc Dimittis" (auch Lobgesang des Simeon genannt) ist einer der drei Lobgesänge des Lukasevangeliums. Im Stundengebet wird das Nunc Dimittis täglich gesungen und ist Bestandteil des Komplet (Nachtgebet der Kirche). Zur Musik ist auf der CD nur der Name Burgon vermerkt. Hierbei dürfte es sich um den britischen Komponisten Geoffrey Burgon handeln, der im September 2010 verstarb. In seinen Werken taucht im Jahr 1979 das "Nunc Dimittis" für Gesang auf. Burgon war vor allem bekannt für Ballett- und Filmmusik. So war Burgon z.B. verantwortlich für die Filmmusik von Monty-Pythons "Das Leben des Brian" sowie von den Chroniken von Narnia (1988-1990).
