Informationen zum Lied
Nach den ausfindig gemachten Quellen stammen die englischen Textpassagen von Henry Burton aus dem Jahr 1910. Das Lied hieß "There's a light upon the Mountains" und besteht aus 5 Strophen. Für Exsultate wurde nur ein kleiner Teil der ersten, vierten und fünften Strophe verwendet und auch noch ein wenig abgewandelt. Im lateinischen Text kann ich keinen Bezug zu diesem Lied finden.
Die Melodie von Exsultate ist eine Eigenkomposition von Robert Prizeman.
