Informationen zum Lied
"The First Noel" ist ein traditionelles englisches Weihnachtslied, dessen Ursprung im 18. Jahrhundert liegen soll, möglicherweise jedoch sogar noch früher. Das Word Noel entstammt der französischen Sprache und meint "Weihnacht" bzw. "Christmas". In der Version der "New English Hymnals" wird Noel Nowell geschrieben. Vom Text her ist dies auch die von Angel Voices gesungene Version.
